Our rating 3 out of 5

Sites: Not level, gravel. There is a grass front "yard" with a fire ring and picnic table.
Hook ups: FHU (50 amp) Water pressure low, but only a slight problem when showering.
Bathrooms: n/a
Laundry: None
Pets: Pets welcome, with plenty of area to walk them.
WiFi: Excellent. This is the best part of this park. Very, very fast and consistent.
Verizon Internet: Good.
Sprint Internet: None
Verizon cell:
AT&T cell:
Book Exchange: There might be a small one in the office. All I noticed was they were selling cassette tapes for $1.00. Really? Really.
Activities: Horseshoes and Restaurant on premises.
Walkway into office
Mail delivery accepted: Yes
Area/Town/Sights: Lots to see in this beautiful area. Quaint tourist town. Not a lot of restaurants, except fast food and very casual.
Mt. Rushmore & Crazy Horse 30 minutes away.
Custer State Park 2 miles from campground.
Sturgis close by.
Google Earth did us wrong! Although the owners and our neighbors were all very nice, we would never have chosen this RV Park. As soon as I see "piggy back" spaces, that is a no-no. Piggy back spaces mean that two site share one electric post, so you KNOW the sites are close.
This is the view of the Google Earth pin mark for Wheels West.
Looks pretty good. I can't see the individual sites, so they may be surrounded by trees. Nice! WRONG!
This is the correct view of the park.
Just looking at this Google Earth view, I would never have chosen this park unless it was just for overnight or nowhere else available.
Position distance error of Google.
Let me emphasize, the owners were very nice and our neighbors were very nice. We just prefer some trees and more space between sites.
