Do you even know what that means?

LIFE WITH DEBBIE:
Scott is a gem. He knows how to deal with me. He knew how to handle me (avoid me) when I was going through PMS and he still knows how to deal with my moods post "change of life". Thank you Sweety.
With that being said, I'm feeling much better. I really think it helps to get it out. It may not be the smartest move to open myself up to the public, but...I did and for now, it made me feel better. Thank you for putting up with Debbie Downer.

RV LIFE:
We've decided to extend our stay here in Moab, UT by two extra days. Not so much because this RV park is great, it's just ok, but because we do not want to be running around every day. On the weekends we usually just stay home. During the week, we go sight seeing every other day if there is a lot to see.
We were originally going to visit Canyonlands National Park and Dead Horse Point State Park on the same day. But, I've really had my fill of big red rocks and sitting in the truck with the dogs while Scott explores. So between my mood and lack of interest, I opted out of visiting Canyonlands NP. We'll visit Dead Horse Point State Park on another day, but we were supposed to leave on Monday, so we've extended our stay so we can bring the dogs to the State Park.

DOG PARK REVIEW:
Bark Park Off-Leash Dogpark, Moab, UT
My rating 4 out of 5
Nice enough park, probably about 1 acre.
Lots of shade trees.
Lots of seating.
Doggie bags provided.
Water available.
The only negative is the ground cover is red dirt. Ugh. Dusty, dirty, but at least it's soft.

RESTAURANT REVIEW:
The Blu Pig, Moab, UT
Our rating 4.5 out of 5
We were seated in a booth. The tables had blue glass tile edging, which gave a really cool effect with the mixture of white and blue lighting.
There is a center island that looks like a bar, but is really one long large table at bar height, able to seat at least 15 people. Very cool setting for a group.
Waitress was prompt and efficient.
Blues music playing throughout and not too loud.
There are three different bbq sauces on the table to choose from. Sweet, vinegar based, and mustard based.
Catfish Po' Boy:
Delicious. The catfish was crispy without excess oil and great flavor. Served on an Asiago Roll with Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Pickles and our Ancho-Chile Mayo. The Asiago roll was light and soft, but I didn't really taste the asiago cheese that seemed to be only sprinkled on top.
Prime Rib Philly: Delicious. The meat has a slight smokey flavor and was moist and tender. Sauteed Onions and Bell Peppers, topped with Provolone cheese and served on an Asiago Roll.
Cole slaw: Yum! You could tell this was fresh made. Nice chunks of crispy cabbage, with a light mayo/vinegar dressing.
French Fries: Delicious. Seems to be fresh cut. More on the order of shoestring fries. Crispy and plentiful.
Onion Rings: Average. These were good, but nothing special. Just a plain breading lacking seasoning with onions that could have been sweeter.
Would definitely return.
Red Rock Bakery & Net Cafe, Moab, UT:
My rating 4 out of 5
Only stopped in for breakfast. I had a sunflower bagel with scrambled egg, sausage, cheese, and tomato. Really nice sandwich. The bagel was quite hearty. A dense, tasty bagel.
Coffee was very good. I was able to drink and enjoy it black.

BUSINESS REVIEW:
Moab Barkery, Moab, UT:
My rating 3.5 out of 5
Nice to have a dog supply store available. Lots of items packed into this friendly store.
Leashes, collars (including Martingales!), coats, toys, etc. Decent supply of healthy dog food and treats although quite a bit more expensive than at most stores. But, since they have the monopoly in Moab, we'll pay.
Friendly staff with info on where to hike with your dogs in the area. Nice store.

I've had the whole day all to myself. Just what I needed. Scott has spent the day at Canyonlands National Park. Here's Scott's first ever "selfie" he took while out there and sent to me via email. Nice way to let me know he's ok.
Glad you are feeling better. In our short RVing time I have gone off on my own aa couple of times when Craig was watching a game. It is good because then we have something to talk about. I love dogs, had a couple of good friends, but choose not to include one in our RV life. I wish dogs and dog owners could get special licences or something so the dogs could go on hikes too. Good dogs only!
ReplyDeleteGood idea about permits for dogs. Allow only a certain # of dogs each day. That would be a nice compromise.
